News in the world of books

Only time will tell what all of this means to authors and readers, but two major events happened this week.

B&H recently made the decision to shut down its fiction line, and now Summerside Press is closing. Summerside published the very popular "Love Finds You" and "American Tapestry" series. Literary agent Steve Laube does an excellent job at explaining how this happened.

And secondly, the Department of Justice just passed down this ruling a couple of hours ago:

"Judge says Apple conspired to raise prices on e-books"

Here's another article regarding the Apple decision:

Any thoughts?
