  1. I forgot about The Painted Table until I saw your post. How could I forget? I think I need to revise my list or add one more for a baker's dozen. Good books on your list and some I have not read but need to. BTW, my 2 book clubs are hosting Tracy Groot in January 2015. Perry isn't that far a drive for you, you should think about coming.

    1. You seem to read more of a variety than I do, which is good, Beckie. I just have such a hard time passing up Christian fiction books that look good! But I used to read and love a lot of women's fiction, British police procedurals, etc.

I'm tickled to death that you're hosting Tracy Groot! If there's any way at all that I could come, I'll let you know. But my husband's health isn't that good, so I rarely get away from home. The only traveling I've done in the last year is to visit my daughter in Germany, where she leads a campus ministry, and my son stayed here during that time. Tracy is a very talented writer and quite a character on top of that. You'll have to tell me all about it!

  2. If you don't get to come, I will be sure to give you all the details. I am a rather eclectic reader, but I try to stay with Christian fiction primarily. Will be praying for your husband and you.

  3. 'A Woman of Fortune' sounds like an interesting story line. I haven't heard of the others, except 'The Dancing Master' which I enjoyed. I'll have to look into all of them.
